16 x 2 Serial LCDThe LK162-12/VK162-12 is an intelligent alphanumeric liquid crystal display designed to decrease development time by providing an instant solution to any project. The RS232, TTL and I2C protocols available allow the LK162-12/VK162-12 to be connected to a wide variety of host controllers. Communication speeds of up to 115.2kbps for serial protocols and 100kbps for I2C ensure lightning fast display updates.The simple command structure permits easy software control of many settings including backlight brightness, screen contrast, and baud rate. On board memory provides up to forty custom characters which can be saved within the unit and recalled for start screens, bar graphs or larger numbers.User input on the LK162-12/VK162-12 is available through a three by four matrix style keypad, and seven general purpose outputs provide simple switchable five volt sources.
